my definition of "good" hair by Chrissy-Christine my definition of "good" hair by Chrissy-Christine
^^^... the issue now.

the ever so infamous "good' hair problem associated with black girls!

right now i switched to my natural hair and im luvin it. before i went to relaxers aka "the cream" and other chemicals...my hair was down to the lowerparts of my shoulder and my upper back( and just to let u know...that was when my hair was in pony tails). thats right ppl! i had long and thick "nappy" BEAUTIFUL hair. with the "cream" my hair became short (up to my jaw short) and damaged even tho id take good care of it! put oil on it & rap it up at night..etc etc. so now that all my hair is naturally through the process of, yada yada yada! now its healthy, i feel confident, and i kno i KILL IT with the fro...um lol (but now im in twist). and after all that... most of society INCLUDING in our community, down on our natrull hair! saying stuff lyk its nappy, no one wants hair lyk ours, dirty, its not "in" / cute any more. << and im just sayin uuur..-ur dumb. lol
u dont kno what ur missing out on! a lil hard to comb..but its all good! ;p

so thats my stroy. im open for disscusion every one. id love to hear evry ones oppinion on this issue. =D

Indeed; good hair is good so long as it's full. Luxurious. Healthy and growing in thick with just enough shine to let you know it's well fed.

I write.

A friend of mines who is Chinese and swears on Chinese medicine and holistic living told me that by putting relaxer in my hair it's really bad for my health, because the chemicals are being absorb in the body via the head (and that's where the brain sits) and that has got me the thinking. Thankfully, I've stopped years before then and to this day am still going natural and still loving every minute of it.

hahaah. yeah. it damages hair quite a bit. i think it damages the growth of our hair. my natural hair doesn't grow as fast compared to one of my friends who never had relaxers

Y'know, that probably explains.

I heard that putting avocado in your hair and letting it sit for an hour helps your hair to grow. I just started doing it though.

hmmm, idk. i thought it was an avocado mix. with oil and other stuff. either way you gotta do more than just put an avocado on it haha. like lossen stress, straying away from really tight hair styles, moisture... etc<  i think those ways are more important =D <3 <3

'm having a hard time maintaining my hair. trying to go natural for the last year and it seems like it's just breaking off and really dry and not growing at all lol.

i've seen plenty of people with natural hair, be it a fro or straight. gorgeous!

There are tons more user sharing their experiences, know-hows, and what nots but what I've listed are the ones I've been following.
You might like the avocado masking treatment. I tried it and my hair felt soft ('course, it could be the olive oil though).  www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdJW9v…

oh sorry to hear. one thing you need to now is moister moister moister... any hair type even relaxed hair take a lot of work to keep healthy. you have to put in the work to keep your hair healthy and growing to. only brush when wet. co wash (for all hair types) keep moister on it. weather it be oil grease or conditioner. prevent it from locking up>> (don't  have a fro for awhile with out combing it out) trim every 6 or 5 or 4 weeks. etc. eat healthy and have patience.

okay?sorry if there are a lot of grammar mistakes i haven't proof read...

i have a question? i recently allowed my mom to put a texturizer in my hair just wondering if my natural hair will return normal. because its been 6months since i had put a texturizer and my hair texture is not changing. :/

a texturizer is a chemical... you gotta wait till it grows so you can cut it out and start all over again. you might have to make that chop now. =/

got ask you hair dresser =]... or have you been straitening you natural hair a lot before you got the chems?

Bring good hair back! Down with relaxers, straighteners and curlers.

Boo to the fascist oppressive society that demands perfection for its imperfection!
